Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
May 31, 2017

“Mother of the True God, and our Mother, Lady of Guadalupe, we beg you that your journey through all the Americas be realized now… We know that you want to end abortion in the world and convert millions… O Lady, help us support your mission with our prayers in order that your Missionary Image will be well-received in all of the Americas…” The Prayer for the Missionary Image by Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo, Archbishop (later Cardinal) of Guadalajara, Mexico

Dear Friend of Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Our Lady made her first Visitation to a town of Judah. She was pregnant and St. Elizabeth, her elderly, pregnant cousin, greeted her and cried out with joy, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?” (Luke 1:42-43).

Mary is still making Visitations and traveling great distances to hear us cry out with this joy. Elizabeth’s awe, wonder and true humility are being shared today by people throughout America. They are ordinary people like Elizabeth and like you who are honored by Visitations from the Blessed Mother in the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe!

St. John Paul II asked Our Lady “to visit as a pilgrim of faith, each and every diocese, parish and family in America, repeating to her children what she said at Cana, Do whatever He tells you.’ (Jn. 2:5). May she cross this continent bringing it life, sweetness and hope!” This is the mission of our apostolate.

The Missionary Image needs to travel on Visitations to melt hearts and to raise what St. John Paul II called “a great prayer for life” in order to transform our culture from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life. We celebrate the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth with this in mind.

Missionary Image Pilgrimage Visits 144 California Abortion Centers

Bishop Richard Garcia, Bishop of the diocese of Monterey, sent a letter to each of California’s Diocesan Directors of Respect Life urging them to support a pilgrimage with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to California abortion centers.

Bishop Garcia called the pilgrimage, Our Lady’s Mission for Life. He called it a unique vision to bring to fruition, through prayer, the closure of California abortion centers. He wrote that the mission is “A statewide schedule of Visitations by the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe during the upcoming months of March and April. It is my prayer that you will welcome and support this effort to bring Our Lady to every abortion clinic in California.”

A member of the Guardian Team sent us the photo below. They went to the Planned Parenthood abortion center in Santa Cruz to preview the site for a Peaceful Prayer Presence with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. When they arrived there, they found an Emergency Response Team with an ambulance and fire truck. So much for safe and legal abortions.

The Guardian Team of Teresa Marsano and Dora Lee Raras arrived at the abortion center in El Centro at night. They reported,
It was dark, but the way into the church was gently lit by a pathway of candles on the ground.  As Our Lady was being carried into the church, She was welcomed by people standing behind the candles and singing. Adding its lilting trill to the serenade of the people, was a lone bird singing its heart out for Our Lady! Surely, Our Lady felt the love of the people that night!

Once inside the Church, we were privileged to explain why Our Lady was in California, and more specifically why She was in El Centro: to comfort them and to encourage them in their efforts, as well as to bring a closing of the abortion clinic. We also talked about the significance of the signs interwoven in Our Lady’s amazing image.

The group kept an all-night vigil, praying a rosary every hour. In the morning, Our Lady was transported to a vacant lot where a group was already gathering under a tarp for Mass. Fr. Edward Horning, who usually celebrates the First Saturday Mass, drove over from Brawley and celebrated a beautiful open-air Mass. He also reflected on Our Lady’s role in salvation history and Her patronage of pro-life work. Then, with Our Lady leading the way, he led a procession around the perimeter of the abortion mill’s property, praying liberation prayers, spraying the boundary with holy water and sprinkling blessed salt along the border.  Wonderfully, the people in the procession kept praying the whole time.

During this pilgrimage, the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe visited a total of 144 abortion centers for Peaceful Prayer Presences. The Image also visited 2 Planned Parenthood Abortion Training Centers, 5 Planned Parenthood Affiliate Headquarters, 3 Planned Parenthood Regional Offices and the California State Capitol for a closing Mass.

The Most Reverend Jaime Soto, Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento, celebrated the “Crowning Visit” of Our Lady’s Mission for Life by offering The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament and immediately following the liturgy led a Eucharistic Procession around the State Capitol in prayerful journey and public witness to end “without exception” the horrible evil abortion.

The Guardian Team reported that the pilgrimage brought them “the BEST Easter ever!!! Our Lady and I were at the "Crown" of the state at Son Rise ... and later during prayer at the mega mill in Eureka ... in the pouring rain ... She let me know that the first domino has been tipped !!!  A blessed ab'soul'utely beautiful day ... !!

Teresa and Dora wrote to our Apostolate, “We are ever so grateful to the Guardians of the Missionary Images, Dan Lynch Apostolates, for recognizing Our Lady’s desire to come to California for this special Mission for Life and for making it possible for all of us to honor Her special request.”

As we celebrate our 26th anniversary, we need your help to hopefully continue our mission into the next 26 years. We still remain insolvent, are unable to pay our payables as they become due and are in debt $35,000.00.
So, I call upon your generosity to help us in our hour of need.

We have no assets besides our furniture and equipment. We have no savings accounts or investments. We live from hand to mouth depending upon divine providence and your generosity.

We plead for your mercy. Giving alms is a work of mercy for which God will bless you.

Don't forget, we remember you. Our benefactors receive the following spiritual benefits from our Apostolates: our intercession for your Prayer Petitions (click here to make your Prayer Petitions) in our daily Chaplets; in our Rosaries and perpetual Novenas; in our weekly Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament and in our special monthly Masses for your intentions. Thank you for your donation today!

Thank you for remembering us.

Sincerely in Christ,
Dan

PS: “Be not sparing of freewill gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and He will give back to you sevenfold.” (Sirach 35:7-10). Thank you for your generosity!
